Multiple names of Nickelodeon stars who worked closely with Dan Schneider have been mentioned in connection with the various accounts of Schnieder’s behavior, including Miranda Cosgrove, and Jennette McCurdy, who appeared on iCarly.
Despite the allegations and damning evidence, there has been no official confirmation of his behavior or official statements being made by Schnieder, or on his behalf. The closest to an official word of confirmation came from Nickelodeon when the network and Schneider parted ways in 2018!
The context of Nickelodeon‘s official statement was, not surprisingly, all business. It highlighted Schneider’s accomplishments while detailing: “Since several Schneider’s Bakery projects are wrapping up, both sides agreed that this is a natural time for Nickelodeon and Schneider’s Bakery to pursue other opportunities and projects.”
The aforementioned internet discussions about his behind-the-scenes behavior spanned many years and could be interpreted as insight into the nature of the environment within Schneider’s atmosphere.
Between Jennette McCurdy and her iCarly co-star Miranda Cosgrove, McCurdy has provided the most insight into the situation with Schneider, as well as her relationship with the series creator.
One of McCurdy’s videos back on Vine directly addressed Schneider without providing additional context.
According to Medium, some viewers “Interpreted [the video] as a cry for help, while some believe she was mocking Amanda Bynes…” considering Bynes had quite the downward spiral following her time on Nickelodeon.
This is what the child raping and manipulating predators do to young children, especially young girls in Hollywood. In my opinion, this was her attempt at humor which was a sad façade to mask the pain deep inside her heart at the time.
