Here Are the U.S. Companies That Have Gone Woke and Want You Dead

Here Are the U.S. Companies That Have Gone Woke and Want You Dead

Many of us, including myself have recently become proponents of boycotting companies that act against American interests, as you probably know if you like to read articles such as boycott Big Tech or boycott leftist companies. Right-wing sites like Gen Z Conservative have written similar viewpoints, such as what companies donated to BLM.

However, I don’t think that’s quite enough. Boycotting Big Tech is a good start, but not enough. Boycotting leftist companies is an excellent goal, but almost impossible to do because of how pervasive leftism is in the technology field and the C-suite of most companies. After recognizing that, I’ve decided to write this article on the top woke companies to avoid.

The goal is not to boycott every single company that expresses leftist viewpoints. Perhaps we will one day be able to do that, but for now, it is impossible. Additionally, there are some companies, like Microsoft, that are obviously slanted to the left, but now open to enemies of freedom. For example, Bing, a Microsoft search engine, partners with DuckDuckGo; for that reason, and others, Microsoft should not be treated the same as Google.

So, this list of woke companies to avoid is designed to be possible, as I offer sound alternative products/services for many companies, and also strike at the worst offenders, rather than just leftist companies generally.

Twitter

Twitter is, I think, one of the worst offenders on this list of woke companies to avoid. It has been censoring conservatives for years now. First, there were shadowbans. Then there were messages about the “context” and veracity of certain posts. And now we’ve reached the end-stage: Twitter booting patriots like Trump and Mike Flynn off of its platform for daring to express a conservative worldview.

At the same time, Twitter protects anti-Americans. It allows the Iranian government to spew anti-Semitic hatred, leftists to call for Trump’s death and attacks on Trump supporters, and BLM to organize violent riots on its platform. Twitter isn’t interested in shielding its users from “online harm,” whatever that is, but instead is just cracking down on conservatism.

Conservatives need to boycott and avoid Twitter. Even if it means reducing our reach and ability to share ideas, we need to ensure that we are not supporting Twitter until it reverses its anti-free speech policies.

What sites should you use instead? Gab, Gettr, and Truth Social. Those platforms (especially Gab) allow for anyone, right or left, to share their views and converse about whatever they want. You might still be attacked for what you say, people will always try to prove you wrong, but you’ll be allowed to speak freely. Twitter is absolutely one of the woke companies to avoid. Boycott it and switch to one of those increasingly popular alternatives instead.

Facebook

Facebook used to be a pro-free speech platform. Zuckerberg, whatever his many obvious faults, at least tried to defend free speech and allow his users to share their opinions on it. Then, the usual happened. Facebook was taken over by leftists and immediately became a woke company, earning it its place on this list of woke companies to avoid.

First, Facebook started to “fact check” posts and limit the distribution of ones that its biased fact-checkers deemed “false.” As is now the norm, those posts were almost always ones that expressed conservative viewpoints. Then, following Twitter’s lead, Facebook kicked Trump off its platform. Never mind that leftists had planned, and still do plan, violent riots on its platform. Zuck and his team deemed the orange man bad and decided to attack free speech.

Facebook is undeniably more useful than Twitter, which makes it slightly harder to avoid. But we still must do so. Yes, it’s helpful that it gives you reminders when your friends are having birthdays and is a good way to keep up with acquaintances. But it is a one of the woke companies to avoid, so avoid it we must.

An alternative is MeWe. It’s not perfect, yet. But it is a good alternative and is the most like Facebook. Or, even better, you could just avoid social media entirely. It’s a huge time sink and whatever time you spend on it would be better spent having real interactions or reading and learning.

Bank of America

I used to like Bank of America. I thought it was a solid company that had been unfairly treated. Then it went woke and made itself yet another one of the woke companies to avoid.

First, Bank of America decided to stop lending to border detention facilities. Using its financial might, it tried to eradicate border security.

Then, in an even worse and more un-American move, it donated a gargantuan sum to BLM, the Marxist organization that set our cities alight. That was also reprehensible.

Next, after Hawley tried to stop the illegitimate election of Joe Biden, BoA announced that it would take that into consideration, a shadowy statement that indicated it would stop giving to conservatives. It’s free to do what it wants, but conservatives should not donate to such a far-left company.

Finally, a cherry on top is that Bank of America has donated to Planned Parenthood. It will donate to that racist eugenics organization, but not pro-American politicians.

Keep that in mind when deciding where to park your money. There are banks that are not woke. Randolph-Brooks is my favorite, but there are others. Just look them up and find one that won’t punish you for loving America.

JP Morgan Chase

Another bank, another one of the woke companies to avoid. Chase Bank, a part of JP Morgan, one of the largest banks in America, has decided that it will no longer provide its services to conservatives and deplatformed them from the banking system. Its list of people it kicked out includes Martina Markova (conservative commentator), Enrique Tarrio (head of the Proud Boys), Joe Biggs (Iraq war veteran and conservative reporter), Laura Loomer, and now Kanye ‘Ye’ West.

You might disagree with the views of some of those people. I often do. But it is terrifying that they can be cut out of the financial system for saying things that are legal to say. That is un-American and should frighten conservatives. We cannot do business with companies like Chase Bank that want to destroy us.

As with Bank of America, there are non-woke banks that you should use instead. I recommend M1 Finance, Randolph-Brooks, or Renasant.

Netflix

This is one of the most disgusting companies on this list of woke companies to avoid. Netflix, like most of the others, used to be an excellent company that provided a terrific product. In fact, it largely still does.

But then it went woke and decided to normalize pedophilia by releasing the movie Cuties, which was basically soft-core child pornography and was an attempt to glorify the sexualization of children. If you hate child porn, you should cancel your Netflix subscription.

Luckily, there are other companies that provide similar services. Odysee and BitChute have plenty of good, entertaining videos on them; even better, most of them come from a conservative perspective. Hulu might be to the left, but it’s not as bad as Netflix. The Daily Wire is releasing movies now. Amazon lets you stream movies and TV shows (I think conservatives should boycott AWS, not all of Amazon).

Google

Yes, yet another one of the FAANG stocks is on this list of woke companies to avoid. I know I already wrote about them in my article on boycotting Big Tech, but the point needs to be driven home: conservatives must, with clear eyes, look at what these woke companies have done and avoid them.

Google is another horrible offender. It kicked Parler and Gab off the Google Play store. It has threatened conservative sites with demonetization. Its search results shift election results to the left. YouTube routinely demonetizes pro-conservative and pro-2nd Amendment channels. Google is a terrible, anti-American company. Conservatives must boycott it.

The best search engine alternative was DuckDuckGo, which is a search engine that doesn’t spy on you. However, due to DuckDuckGo taking a stance on the side of censorship, Yandex is now unfortunately the only true alternative. For email, use Protonmail, Tutanota, or Rackspace. For watching videos, use Odysee, BitChute, or Rumble.

Disney

Disney used to be a wonderful company that was undeniably pro-American. Disney’s videos about space with Werner von Braun got people excited about the space program and its movies and theme parks spread American culture around the world.

Now, Disney is a mouthpiece of the CCP. It filmed Mulan in Xinjiang, the region of China where the concentration camps are. It removes or minimizes African-American actors on its posters so as to appease the racist Chinese market.

Like with Netflix, just use other services. If you want your kids to watch Disney movies, then buy a used DVD so that Disney doesn’t get any of your money. Disney is appeasing the Red Chinese, so it is absolutely one of the woke companies to avoid.

The NBA

The NBA is yet another one of the woke companies to avoid doing business with. Its sins have bene quite public and noticeable, so I’ll be brief. It supported the BLM riots, but worked to silence people calling attention to the Hong Kong protests. It allowed Chinese instructors at NBA camps to abuse children. It employs people that hate America and everything about our system.

Conservatives should not watch the pro-BLM NBA. Watch golf, play basketball, or do something else with your recreation time.

Apple

Apple is another pro-China, anti-American company that has certainly earned its spot on this list of woke companies to avoid. It kicked Parler off of the App store, striking a blow against free speech. It refused to help the FBI crack into the phones of terrorists who killed Americans. Its Chinese factories are hellholes that have to have nets around them so that the workers can’t kill themselves.

Apple is undeniably one of the woke companies to avoid. So, just do so. Buy a non-Apple laptop. Use a Samsung phone. Use different earbuds. Use Spotify rather than Apple music. Boycott Apple.

The NFL

This one might be the hardest, other than Google, for conservatives to avoid. Conservatives tend to like football and watch whatever games are on. But the NFL is another one of the woke companies to avoid giving your money to. Its support of the BLM and attacks on the National Anthem have been disgusting and must be punished. Avoid it like you avoid the NBA.

Watch college football instead. Or golf. Or the NHL. The NFL is now an anti-American organization.

Levi Strauss Jeans

This might seem like an odd choice. Levi’s is just an apparel company, why focus on it? Because it makes a product that conservatives buy lots of.. jeans. Conservatives, unlike liberals, tend to actually work and spend time outside. That means that jeans are a key piece of the conservative closet. Unfortunately, many of us have bought Levi’s jeans.

Why is that a bad thing? Why is Levi’s on this list of woke companies to avoid? Because it has come out firmly against the 2nd Amendment. The company not only released anti-gun statements, but also has partnered with Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown, one of America’s worst anti-gun groups.

Don’t buy Levi’s. Buy any other jeans instead, there are plenty of companies that produce them and don’t use the profits to advocate taking your guns.

Nike

Nike has been yet another woke company that uses its earnings to attack American values. It employs Colin Kaepernick. It got rid of a Betsy Ross sneaker because it deemed the American flag offensive. Nike is one of the most un-American of the woke companies to avoid. It must be boycotted. Just buy other athletic apparel.

Coca-Cola

In late-February, a whistleblower at Coke revealed company-mandated training requiring all Coca-Cola employees to learn about “what it means to be white,” and encouraging them to “try and be less white.” Racist indoctrination disguised as anti-racist wokeism. Screenshots of the PowerPoint presentation accompanying the training went viral, requiring Coke to shift to damage control mode, but only slightly.

Coke went on to double-down on their radical leftism six weeks later. In early-April, the Atlanta-based company couldn’t help themselves, deciding to weigh-in on the inexplicably controversial Georgia voting law stating, “The Coca-Cola Company does not support this legislation, as it makes it harder for people to vote, not easier.” As we have detailed many times here at The Blue State Conservative, Georgia’s voting law is common-sense legislation with the most impactful aspect being voter identification requirements, an idea which is supported by over 80% of Americans. Making matters worse for Coke, even the most extreme leftist Democrats who had opposed the law – Stacey Abrams and Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) – have backtracked on opposing voter ID.

For anyone who is health-conscious, boycotting Coca-Cola is easy. I haven’t seen the latest studies on how unhealthy their soft drinks are, but it’s safe to say none of them are particularly good for you. But it’s not just the Coca-Cola brand at issue. Coca-Cola owns dozens of brands to consider, including Dasani Water, Minute Maid Juices, and Vitaminwater. Portions of any money you spend on any of these products will likely end up working against the best interests of our country. Just say no.

United Airlines

When Facebook decides to prioritize skin color when hiring a new marketing executive, that approach may be racist and discriminatory, but it’s not dangerous to anyone’s safety. When Ben and Jerry’s decide to hire an operations manager based on her genitalia, that practice may be sexist and unfair, but at least it doesn’t jeopardize the lives of those eating their ice cream; probably. But when an airline openly explains their priority in the hiring of pilots, those same people whose flying skills can determine whether the aircraft we’re flying on lands safely or tumbles into a canyon in a fiery crash, the dangers of wokeness are taken to a new level.

Diversity for the sake of diversity is discrimination. And that’s a problem. But when that pursuit of diversity results in such a blatant bastardization of what’s important, lives could be at risk. We shouldn’t have to weigh such matters when we’re booking airline tickets, but that is the situation in which we find ourselves. Call me peculiar, but I’m going to make sure I fly with an airline that hires pilots based on ability, not on race or gender.

United’s wokeness doesn’t stop with their hiring practices. The airline was in-your-face with their support of Pride Month, they provide BLM pins for their employees to wear while on the job if they so choose, and most recently United issued a directive to employees to include their ‘preferred pronouns’ in their email address signatures. United Airlines is way out there, and one of the wokest of the woke.

Nabisco

A year ago, when the country was reeling from the COVID pandemic and racial unrest, Nabisco proudly announced a $500,000 donation to the anti-American, Marxist BLM movement and the NAACP. They made the announcement from the Twitter account of Ritz Crackers (yes, evidently crackers can have Twitter accounts) by stating, “We stand in solidarity with the Black Community and call for justice and change. We cannot be silent. Each of us has a role we can play.” Who knew that crackers can’t be silent? Also note the use of the uppercase “B” in black. The tweet went on to conclude, “We are committing support… towards the fight for racial equity.” Nabisco has mastered their virtue signaling, they are all-in: capitalizing the proper letters, using “equity” instead of “equality,” and focusing on “justice.”

But Nabisco doesn’t just support BLM, and Ritz Crackers aren’t the only snack with a Twitter account. In February, the Twitter account of Oreo cookies felt compelled to jump into the transgender debate by tweeting a picture of various cookies with an assortment of rainbow colored fillings instead of the traditional white filling, a nod to the Pride flag.

That tweet also included the statement, “Trans people exist.” If cookies could talk, or tweet for that matter, that’s the type of idiotic declaration they would make, no doubt, which is why cookies should be tasted and not heard. Really, Nabisco? We had no idea that trans people existed. We were all thinking they were kind of mythical, like unicorns and bigfoot.

Putting down your Oreos and finding replacements for Triscuits is unfortunate, but necessary. If you’re buying from Nabisco, you’re putting money into the coffers of radical, anti-American leftists, and that is unacceptable.

Amazon

Amazon removed the well-researched and reasonable book on the transgender debate “When Harry Became Sally” from their site. Then, in January, they participated in shutting down Parler, erroneously blaming the right-wing social media site for the January 6th Capital Riot. And their entertainment division is as woke as any of the other Hollywood clowns, playing numbers games with casting in the name of equity, and promoting the tired, woke subject matter we see everywhere nowadays.

CEO and Founder Jeff Bezos tries to appeal to conservatives on some levels, but when crunch time comes, he’s as woke as anyone else in Big Tech. Don’t feed the monster, particularly now as we head into the Christmas shopping season.

Buy local, if at all possible. If you must shop online, go directly to retailers, or perhaps alternatives such as Fanatics.com, depending on what merchandise you’re looking for. As a last resort, try Flipkart.com, which offers a similar shopping experience to Amazon. But stay away from eBay and Alibaba.

Wal-Mart

This one isn’t easy to stay away from. They’re convenient, their low-priced, and they’re everywhere we look. While Wal-Mart was once demonized by the left for being big, bad, mean old capitalists, times have changed; dramatically. The largest retail chain in the world is now woke.

Whether it be with guns, or with the transgender debate, or with their affection for the Chinese Communists, Wal-Mart is trying to cash in on wokeness at every turn. Just last month we became aware that the company is training its employees in Critical Race Theory (CRT), denouncing our great country as being a “white supremacy system.”

It may take you some extra time, and you might have to pay a little more, but support your local retailers. They’re the ones who sponsor your local parades and little league teams, and they are likely much better aligned with your values.

American Express

American Express is amongst the wokest of the woke when it comes to corporate America. They are all-in on their calls for “racial justice,” and were among some of the most vocal companies last year with their support of the Marxist Black Lives  Matter movement. Their training of employees in CRT includes all the buzzwords, including the dreaded “anti-racism,” and AmEx has gone so far as to call capitalism itself “racist,” which is pretty ironic coming from a company that thrives on capitalism.

There are plenty of alternatives to American Express, and we’re not just talking credit cards. Options such as Venmo and other cash apps work just as well as AmEx, and if you use American Express travel services, you should stop. There are plenty of options there as well. Just do a search at DuckDuckGo, and you’re sure to see plenty of options.

Burger King

Burger King (BK) is actually a subsidiary of Restaurant Brands International (RBI), a Canadian/American company. The stock symbol above is for RBI, as BK is not traded separately, despite being one of the most popular fast-food brands in the country. While many of the fast-food giants are woke, BK is clearly the wokest. Not only did they vocally support Black Lives Matter, they made a financial donation to them (and so did Wendy’s and McDonald’s, by the way).

BK also launched a campaign this past June during which they donated forty cents to an LGBTQ group for every chicken sandwich they sold. And let’s not forget their promotion of the anti-free-speech Net Neutrality nonsense from few years ago, when they included their activism in a commercial for their Whopper sandwich.

As mentioned, wokeness seems to be inherent to fast-food companies; perhaps it has something to do with all those calories. Instead of supporting them, get a sandwich at a local sub shop. Or stop at a local diner. If you must go with fast food, opt for the least woke which must be Chick-Fil-A, which is at least true to its professed Christian ideals and does not open on Sundays.

American Airlines

Yes, another airline. American Airlines, based in Texas, didn’t hold back from criticizing the new Texas Voter Law earlier this year, stating they weren’t just opposed, they were “strongly” opposed. Again, for those who don’t remember, the only thing that law suppressed was voter fraud. In late 2020, not only did AA support BLM, they provided pins supporting the group for their employees to wear. And perhaps most indicative of their wokeness is AA’s bragging about earning “A perfect score on Corporate Equality Index,” which they claim was due primarily for their over-the-top support of LGBTQ issues.

If opportunities present themselves to you to choose an airline other than American… or United… you should do it. Flying on these airlines means you’re putting money into the coffers of woke activists who have no respect for you or our country.

AT&T

One of the largest companies in the world and another iconic American brand is just one more disappointing company to go to the dark side of wokeness. This past October we became aware that AT&T, like several other companies we’ve already discussed, is attempting to indoctrinate their employees with their wokeness.

According to leaked documents, the telecommunications giant is now training their employees in Critical Race Theory with a program called ““Listen. Understand. Act.”

This training calls racism a “uniquely white trait,” and explains, “White America, if you want to know who’s responsible for racism, look in the mirror.” If you use AT&T and send them a payment each month, you’re supporting this nonsense.

One thing we can be sure of: if such garbage is being taught to employees in the open, then the behind-the-scenes racist wokeness is far worse. There are plenty of options nowadays for switching from AT&T, and many of them will end up saving you money. One such option is Pure Talk USA, which proudly advertises with many conservative media shows and outlets.

Lululemon

This Canadian-American company became a household name due to their tight fitting black leggings and yoga pants, which women love to wear… and men love to watch women wearing them. But Lululemon is also noteworthy for being one of the most ridiculous examples of allowing inmates to run the asylum. In July 2020 as Black Lives Matter was destroying billions of dollars’ worth of property with their “fiery but mostly peaceful protests,” an unnamed director stepped out of line and the employees revolted. At that point, the director issued an apology and was subsequently fired. What was his offense? He had proposed deploying a page on their website proclaiming “All Lives Matter” instead of “Black Lives Matter.” Oh, the horror. And mind you, the page in question never went live, he had merely proposed it.

If we add to that fiasco the company’s $75 million investment in their ‘Centre for Social Impact to Further Advance Equity’ – which is just as woke as it sounds, by the way – it becomes clear that leggings/yoga pants need to be purchased elsewhere. There are numerous options for shopping for similar apparel, including L.L. Bean.

Target

Target is all-in on their wokeness, and may even be worse than Wal-Mart. Target not only supports BLM to the tune $10 million, they have also been running TV commercials promoting black-owned, LatinX-owned, and LGBTQ-owned businesses. As always, if we reversed the races and sexuality of their campaign, and said Target was promoting straight-owned and white-owned businesses, would that be a problem? Additionally, Target is clearly in lockstep with the fascist anti-fascists known as Antifa, as they have repeatedly engaged in book banning. And you can guess what types of books they’re banning (Hint: they’re not leftist books.)

As is the case with Wal-Mart, staying away from Target may not be easy. If you have one near you, they’re convenient and inexpensive, but we should all avoid them if possible. Shop local and support your communities. Buy directly from unwoke on-line retailers. Or, if you have one near you, consider Costco as an alternative.

Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream

Ben and Jerry’s is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the British company Unilever, whose stock symbol and financials are listed above. Anyone paying attention understands the wokeness and leftism of Ben and Jerry’s. After all, they have a flavor named after Bernie Sanders, for crying out loud. The company not only is vocal about BLM, it condemns anyone who is not as vocal as them. Additionally, they are anti-Israelanti-police, and preach relentlessly about climate justice, whatever the heck that is. In short, they sound like just another member of The Squad.

Ben and Jerry’s ice cream tastes fine, and they use quality ingredients. But there are a multitude of alternatives. Most supermarkets carry their own brands, which can be just as good and much less expensive. Many local ice cream makers are springing up around the country, similar to microbreweries. And if you live in a college town there’s a chance the school makes their own ice cream. If all else fails, try Baskin-Robbins.

Warby Parker

They’re not a huge company, but Warby Parker has been a company on the rise for several years now as a chic, cutting edge, prescription eyeglass company. They only began operations in 2010, eleven years ago, and are already bringing in a quarter-billion in revenue per year. Based in New York City, it’s not surprising to see their level of wokeness. They donated $1 million to fight ‘systemic racism’ last year. They are pro-LGBTQ and even have frame designs specifically for the LGBTQ community. And when ads for the company popped up on the Daily Wire in September, Warby Parker succumbed to the woke mob, apologized profusely, and then directed their third-party advertising company to ensure their products don’t end up on the conservative website again. Indeed, the culture war has spilled over into the eyeglass industry.

If you get your glasses at your optometrist’s office, your choices are limited, but you’ll likely have more than one option. If you can buy your eyeglasses online, not only is it probably you’ll save money, but you’ll have a variety of alternatives other than Warby Parker. Other companies to consider include Zenni Optical and LensCrafters.

Cigna

You know things are getting whacky when we even have health insurance companies like Cigna jumping into the culture war mix. It’s not surprising to find a large company put out statements with buzzwords such as ‘social responsibility,’ but Cigna jumped in headfirst and chose instead to use the woke language of  “combating systemic racism” and “improving equity.”

Cigna has also asked their leadership not to include white men in decision making processes. But it’s their employee training that cements their place on our list. Cigna is yet another company attempting to inculcate their employees with Critical Race Theory, warning them about using the term “brown bag lunch” while teaching employees about something they call “religious privilege.” It’s official, Cigna is woke.

Many of us who purchase the various types of insurance offered by Cigna do so through our employers during their annual enrollment processes. If this is the situation you find yourself in, very often those enrollment campaigns have options for other companies such as UnitedHealthcare and Aetna. If so, anyone other than Cigna must be less woke.

23andMe

Best-known for their genetic testing and providing detailed reports on a customer’s ancestry, 23and Me are woke warriors, and they’re not trying to hide it. In a statement recognizing the one-year anniversary of George Floyd’s death in May, the company’s CEO explained, “23andMe is an activist brand and I want us to be part of driving change.”

Yup, they’re activists alright. And that woke mindset goes beyond the race debate, as 23andMe proudly celebrates Pride Month, explaining that they are “working to separate the concepts of biological sex from gender identity” in their reporting. Isn’t that woke?

It’s understandable why so many people are curious about where they come from, and with today’s technology there is detail available like never before. But we do have options instead of 23andMe, the most notable of which is Ancestry.

Pepsi

To be clear, there is a difference between PepsiCo and Pepsi, with the soft drink Pepsi only being a subsidiary of the parent company PepsiCo, whose financial numbers are listed above. Considering the level of wokeness of some of PepsiCo’s other brands (which include Quaker Oats and their renaming of Aunt Jemima), we’re going to list their brands separately. [Note that Pepsi also sells Gatorade and Aquafina water, while Coca Cola brands also include Barq’s root beer, Dasani water, Fanta, Fresca, Minute Maid, Schweppes, and Vitamin Water].

Pepsi produced a commercial in 2017 in which Kendall Jenner appeared participating in a racial justice protest. You probably never saw the commercial because Pepsi ultimately pulled it due to their ill-advised decision to feature Jenner handing off a can of Pepsi to another protester during the ad.

If you’re going to preach about systemic racism, apparently, you’re not allowed to be capitalistic about it. Additionally, Pepsi was one of the more vocal companies in opposing North Carolina’s 2016 law requiring individuals in a public setting to use the bathroom of their biological gender: a reasonable law if ever there was one.

As is the case with Coca Cola, there are plenty of unwoke alternatives, not to mention much healthier ones. Grab a bottle of water (not Aquafina or Dasani), or perhaps sparkling water. Order an iced tea, the real kind, not the bottled kind. Do it for your health and do it for our culture. But whatever you decide to drink just make sure it’s not Pepsi or Coke products.

Best Buy

Best Buy has been doubling down on their wokeness for years now, and they show no sign of stopping. In a leaked employee memo from August 2020, Best Buy’s Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer issued an absurd statement on the perfectly justified shooting by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin of a criminally combative Jacob Blake; and the fact that they even have a “Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer” tells us how woke Best Buy is. They flew the inane LGBTQIA+ flag over their properties in June. (By the way, isn’t it time to add more letters to that acronym?)

They signed on to something called the Parity Pledge, which is essentially a promise to discriminate against white people. And they announced their plan to spend a remarkable $1.2 billion with ‘Diverse Businesses,’ which means more discrimination.

The best alternative to buying from Best Buy is to shop online, particularly with smaller outlets and sites like Newegg.com. If you find yourself in need of electronics on short notice, or if you’re buying something you don’t want being delivered to your home, consider going to Costco if there’s one available; they carry a wide assortment of electronics.

Anheuser-Busch

While the subsidiary named Anheuser-Busch is based in St. Louis, the parent company is based in Belgium, and no matter how you slice it, A-B is woke. They went all-in with their support for the Marxists at Black Lives Matter. They require employees to participate in the idiotic ‘gender unicorn’ nonsense (if you’re unfamiliar, look it up; gender unicorn is even sillier than it sounds).

And of course, Anheuser-Busch is one the biggest advertisers with the National Football League, which becomes more woke by the day. And keep in mind, Anheuser-Busch has several brands, including Budweiser, Bud Light, Michelob, Busch, Stella Artois, and Landshark Lager.

Shutting down your support for Anheuser-Busch should be easy. Not only are there a multitude of other options out there, many of them will taste better and be less expensive, and there are new beer brands popping up all the time. Most places that sell beer will have a wide variety, and some may have dozens from which to choose. Give something new a try. Also, consider supporting local breweries in your community.

Quaker Oats

Quaker Oats is another PepsiCo brand, following in the footsteps of sister brand Pepsi. Like Pepsi, Quaker Oats has many brands other than the flagship brand of oatmeal with which we’re all familiar. Their other brands include Cap’n Crunch, Life cereal, Rice-a-Roni, and Tropicana fruit Juices.

Oh, and let’s not forget Aunt Jemima. Last year, the company decided to change the name of Aunt Jemima products, claiming ridiculously that “Aunt Jemima’s origins are based on a racial stereotype,” and no one likes racist pancakes. A few months later, they announced a $1 million donation to a BLM wannabe. And they proudly engage in woke virtue-signaling by featuring gay couples in their commercials.

Like options for beer as discussed in #30, there are plenty of options to choose from other than Quaker Oats products. Whether it’s cereal, oatmeal, or rice, there are numerous alternatives. And if possible, try substituting products from conservative companies like Goya, which offers reasonably priced and high-quality food products.

Peloton

Peloton is truly a remarkable success story and one which in other circumstances we could all be proud of as an American dream realized. Peloton began operations less than ten years ago, and they are now one of the leading companies in their industry.

Unfortunately, they’re not just successful, they’re also fully woke. They’re vocal in their support of BLM. They were one of several companies pushing the nonsensical ‘Defund the Police’ movement; though they’ve piped down on those proclamations recently. And last month they banned the use of the hashtag “Let’s Go Brandon” from their app. Is that woke enough for you?

Peloton has several competitors to consider as alternatives, including Precor, SoulCycle, Nordic Track, and Flywheel Sports. Such equipment is a significant investment, however, and if you already have a Peloton machine, you may be stuck for the time being. But if you’re currently considering such options to help with an upcoming New Year’s resolution to get in shape, anyone other than Peloton is likely to be less woke.

Gap Apparel

Look at those financials above and remember that those figures are listed in millions. Gap is no small company. They’re large, they’re leaders in their industry, and they are full-blown woke. Gap brags about their inclusivity, explaining how they stood ”up for LGBTQ rights decades before the world woke up to it;” an interesting choice of words.

They’re also proud of offering “color palettes that work for the true breadth of skin tones,” because they’re very concerned about skin color. And of course, Gap couldn’t be outdone during last year’s BLM hysteria and pledged $250,000 in support of the movement. Also, note that Gap brands include Banana Republic, Old Navy, Intermix, Hill City, and Athleta.

Unfortunately, clothing is one of those industries where it’s going to be difficult finding unwoke alternatives, particularly in styles that appeal to us. The nature of the industry seems to breed wokeness. Check out some stores that carry clothing you like, including online stores, and look into their corporate ‘social responsibility’ policies. That will give you a good indication of their level of wokeness. Regardless of who you choose to supplant Gap, it’s highly likely they’ll be less woke.

Dick’s Sporting Goods

Dick’s is still one of the largest players in the sporting goods lane, but they’ve struggled the last few years due to their wokeness, particularly with their anti-gun stance. Gun owners are passionate about the Second Amendment, and there are a lot of us. But Dick’s is more than just anti-gun. They posted the BLM-sympathizing black box on Twitter during those mostly peaceful riots and have openly supported BLM. Additionally, Dick’s is all-in with their celebration of LGBTQ pride. (Isn’t it ironic that a company called Dick’s is so prominent in their support of LGBTQ activism?)

Your best option for alternatives to Dick’s is to shop online with non-woke competitors, and there are plenty of them. For traditional brick-and-mortar stores, competitors of Dick’s include Under Armour and Finish Line.

DoorDash

DoorDash is a service offering that seems to be most popular with young folks: sit at home watching TV, go to the DoorDash app on your phone, and order some unhealthy fast food to be delivered. A very Gen-Z/Millennial thing to do. DoorDash donated $500 million to BLM last year, and has issued multiple statements since then supporting the Marxist movement. They’ve also been vocal in their celebration of LGBTQ pride. It seems likely that at least some of DoorDash’s wokeness has been to calm worker resentment and a recent revolt objecting to DD’s treatment of them; another reason to avoid DD.

One of the primary purposes of our ongoing Woke Companies to Avoid list is to not only highlight woke brands/companies but to suggest alternatives. For DoorDash’s services, however, there aren’t many. Uber Eats is part of Uber, which is equally woke. Local restaurants often offer their own delivery service, and those would be preferred over DoorDash. But perhaps the best alternative to using DoorDash is this: Get off your ass and go to McDonald’s or Taco Bell yourself. You might burn off some calories on the way.

Spanx

This private company has been increasing in popularity over the last few years. Their target market is women, offering ‘body-slimming’ underwear, leggings, and lingerie, among others. They donated $100,000 to Black Lives Matter last year and occasionally issue statements supporting BLM’s racist ideology.  In addition to being racist, Spanx is also sexist, having committed to an all-female board of directors. CEO Sarah Blakely is more than just a radical feminist, she’s also fluent in the woke vernacular regarding LGBTQ, and she openly supports their goals.

Again, with apparel, the alternatives may be limited, but they’re out there. For the ‘body-slimming’ underwear, try Cryoskin which is increasing in popularity. For regular women’s underwear, there should be plenty of options, particularly online, but stay away from Victoria’s Secret. And for leggings you can try L.L. Bean.

Companies That Support Antifa and Black Lives Matter

Despite the chaos, destruction, and deaths, woke companies across the country have still come out in support of Black Lives Matter, Antifa terrorists, and general criminals.

If major companies consider supporting violent rioters and looters good for their bottom line, your cause isn’t oppressed.
